The best and worst of 2011 | PC

Well it’s nearing the end of the year and I’ve just played about an hour of Postal 3 and it angered me so much that I thought I’d compile a short list of all of the shit that has been released this year and the reasons for why said shit is shit.

The Worst:

1. Duke Nukem Forever

– 15 year wait for a piece of crap that isn’t worth buying, if somebody gives you this as a gift for Christmas this year, tell them so shove it up their ass.

2. Crysis 2

– Goes to show what happens when you try to follow-up a PC exclusive game with a multi-platform one, shit like this.

3. Dungeon Siege III

– A brilliant franchise ruined by shit gameplay, shit controls and shit graphics. Thanks Square.

4. Postal III

– A mess of a game, thirdperson ruins it, the gameplay is terrible and for a COMPLETELY story driven game the story is shit.

5. Call of Juarez: The Cartel

– Shit graphics, shit setting, shit story and most of all the guns feel and sound like water pistols.. Oh and it has an FOV of like 30, all you can see is a huge weapon on the screen.

6. FlatOut 3: Chaos & Destruction
(No boxart here, oh well.)
– One of the last remaining series of demolition-racing games ruined by a shit developer.

– id Software proved that they can’t make games anymore with this awful piece of shit, John Carmack should be shot for betraying the people who paid his wages for over 20 years.

8. Red Faction: Armageddon

– I love it when a Red Faction game doesn’t really have any destructable objects in it… I lied, I don’t.

9. Fable III

– Shittest ending ever, no matter what you do you will end up with a completely empty gameworld which renders the world useless once you’ve finished the main storyline.

10. Bulletstorm

– More like Shitstorm, Epic think that it’s alright to ride that Gears of Wank bandwagon all the way to the bank, it isn’t alright and neither is this game.

The Best:

And now a list of all of the brilliant games released in 2011:

1. Portal 2

– Game of the Year for me, from the greatest of great developers, Valve. Always on top.

2. Serious Sam 3: BFE

– A great throwback to the classic age of firstperson shooters, Croteam did an amazing job with this one. Instant Classic.

3. Saints Row: The Third

– As insane as ever, there are a few things I didn’t like but overall this game is fantastic.

4. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

– Brilliant game, it has a lot of bugs but I have wasted a lot of hours just playing Skyrim and I enjoyed every one.

5. Deus Ex: Human Revolution

– Another great game, I thoroughly enjoyed this. Square actually did a good job with this one… For once.

That is all…

Also, I know Fable III was released in November but I’m a PC gamer, so it was released this year.
